What is Xpad?
Xpad is a portable non-slip laptop pad that cools the laptop computer while protecting the user from laptop heat. It features an elegant lightweight design, thin profile, comfortable padding, and smart non-slip interfaces.

Do laptop computers really get that hot?
Different laptop bottoms give varying heat signatures. In general, high-performance laptops, wi-fi usage, heavy processing usage, or heavy disk access usage tends to give off more heat. In our experiments, we have observed laptops with temperatures exceeding 130 degrees Fahrenheit.

Where are the cooling fans?
Xpad does not use any fans to cool your Laptop. Your Laptop has been painstakingly engineered so that it can cool itself. Your Laptop cooling system is designed to inhale cool air and exhale hot air through ventilation holes using its own cooling fans. All your Laptop needs is extra breathing room so its natural airflow is not restricted - Xpad provides this extra breathing room with the X-pattern ventillation channel. A Laptop cooler with fans could create turbulence in the natural airflow that your Laptop needs and interfere with its cooling system. Wouldn't the 'X' pattern non-slip rubber pads on the Xpad block the ventilation holes of my laptop?
No, they won't. There are rubber feet on the bottom of your laptop that will sit on top of the 'X' pattern rubber pads on the Xpad. The rubber feet will provide clearance between the bottom of the laptop and the 'X' pattern rubber pads. The laptop rubber feet on 'X' pattern rubber pads create a high friction rubber-on-rubber contact to provide a non-slip interface between the Xpad and your laptop without using any awkward straps -- your laptop will feel like one with the Xpad.

My new PowerBook does not have any ventilation holes on the bottom - will the Xpad still work?
Yes, most definitely. The Xpad has worked very well for PowerBooks.

What laptop sizes will Xpad accomodate?
Xpad will accommodate laptops with screen sizes up to 17 inches. Please measure the distance between the rubber feet on your laptop. If they fit within a 13 inch x 10.5 inch area then your laptop will fit on the Xpad.

I have a 17" laptop that's larger than the Xpad. Will the Xpad accomodate it?
Yes, it is a universal fit design. The Xpad will work as long as some part of the rubber feet on the bottom of your laptop touches the 'X' pattern on top of the Xpad. Your rubber feet do not need to completely cover the 'X' pattern for the Xpad to work. Also, if you have a laptop without ventilation holes on the bottom such as an Apple PowerBook you don't need to have the rubber feet come in contact with the 'X' pattern - the Xpad will work since the laptop casing is designed as a heat sink.

My laptop is smaller than the Xpad - Why don't you make a smaller Xpad?
Good question. It is still more comfortable to use your smaller laptop on the larger Xpad because you need the larger, 'wider', Xpad to have your laptop sit comfortably on your lap - otherwise you may have to put your knees together to keep your laptop from falling through.

Is the Xpad comfortable to use?
There is an EVA padding on the bottom of Xpad that not only serves as the third layer of heat insulation for the Xpad but also provides comfortable padding on your lap.

Will the Xpad stick to the bottom of my laptop like a 'sticker'?
No, Xpad is not a 'sticker'. The rubber anti-skid pads (the X-Pattern) that the laptop sits on are high friction rubber pads but they are not 'stickers'.

What other Xpad colors are available?
We currently offer the Xpad in silver color only.

Does the Xpad require any assembly?
Xpads come fully assembled - no assembly required.

What shipping methods do you offer?
We offer most shipping options via US Postal Service.

What kinds of payment methods do you accept?
We accept most major credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, & Discover) and PayPal payments. If you wish to pay with American Express or Discover, please select PayPal as your payment processing option during checkout.

What is your refund policy?
We offer a 30-day 100% satisfaction gurantee on all Xpads purchased through our www.Xpad4Laptop.com site. We will fully refund the purchase price of your Xpad if you are not completely satisfied within thirty days of your purchase.

To claim your Xpad refund, you must follow the two steps listed below:

1) Mail your Xpad with the original packaging, your return address, and a copy of the original dated receipt of your Xpad purchase to:

NOTE: Please mail your Xpad with a Signature Confirmation service. We are not responsible for lost mail. Please allow 4 to 8 weeks to receive your refund. Shipping fees are non-refundable and refunds are limited to 3 Xpads per customer.

What is the Xpad warranty?
EDOVA Innovations, LLC warrants that the Xpad will be free from defects in materials or workmanship under normal use for a one (1) year period beginning on the date of purchase as shown on your sales receipt. Scratches, dents, adhesive marks and overall external apperance on the Xpad are not covered under the limited warranty. This warranty only applies to customers with a return address in the United States.

How do I claim my Xpad warranty?
We currently process warranty claims for customers with return addresses in the United States only. Please see our Xpad warranty detail description.

To claim your Xpad warranty, you must follow the two steps listed below:

What is your limitation of liability?
The liability of EDOVA Innovations, LLC arising from the warranty and sale of the Xpad is limited to a refund of the purchase price. In no event will EDOVA Innovations, LLC be liable for any special, consequential, incidental, indirect or other damages, including lost profits, arising from the Xpad or its use. This limitation of liability extends to all parties holding interest in the warranty and sale of the Xpad.
